Celebrating 75 Years of Magic: Drogheda Pantomime Society Launches Anniversary Exhibition

Drogheda Pantomime Society is marking a major milestone this year as it celebrates an incredible 75 years of entertaining local audiences. To honour the occasion, the Society is launching a special exhibition of memorabilia, photographs and footage from decades of beloved productions.

The exhibition will officially open to the public this Friday 12th December in the Laurence Shopping Centre, just inside the Peters Street entrance. The location holds special meaning for many in the town as it stands on the former site of St Peter’s Parochial Centre, the long-time home of Drogheda’s pantomime tradition.

The Society said the exhibition is a chance for the public to walk back through the generations of local performers, volunteers and creatives who built the panto into a flagship event for Drogheda.

This anniversary comes ahead of their milestone production of Beauty and the Beast, which will take to the stage at the Barbican Centre over two weekends: 23 to 25 January and 30 January to 1 February 2026.

The exhibition is open to everyone and promises a nostalgic and heartwarming trip through the town’s theatrical history. The Society is inviting past cast members, supporters and the wider community to join them for what is set to be a memorable evening.
