Drogheda United face Waterford at the RSC on Friday evening in what is the penultimate away game of the season for the Boynesiders.
Drogheda go into this game following a 1-1 draw at home to Derry City in Sullivan & Lambe Park last week.
Josh Thomas and Michael Duffy both had good chances in the first 25 minutes before Dare Kareem gave Drogheda the lead six minutes before half time.
Farrell delivered a ball back into the box, Keeley knocked the ball down to Kareem who fired low past Maher.
Derry equalised ten minutes into the second half through Danny Mullen, who finished from close range after Dennison had saved Fleming’s effort.
Both sides looked to find a winning goal, with Drogheda coming closest to scoring with twenty minutes to go, but Mark Connolly got back to block Warren Davis’ effort on the line, before Cann’s clearance hit Markey and went wide off of the post.
The games between Drogheda and Waterford this season have resulted in a 2-0 win for Drogheda in Sullivan & Lambe Park in April, before the two most recent meetings ended all square (2-2 & 0-0).
In team news, Elicha Ahui (knee) remains ruled out through injury.
