Boots Drogheda store opens creating more than 40 jobs

Boots has opened a new store in Scotch Hall Shopping Centre in Drogheda, creating more than 40 new jobs in the town.

The new ground-floor store is the retailer’s second location in Drogheda and includes a pharmacy alongside healthcare, beauty and wellness products and services.

Boots already operates a store at Laurence Shopping Centre, making the Scotch Hall opening an expansion of its presence in the town.

New pharmacy and healthcare services

The pharmacy will provide prescription services, health advice, vaccinations and other healthcare services.

Customers will also be able to use the Boots app to manage prescriptions and book appointments, including flu vaccinations.

Stephen Watkins, Managing Director for Boots Ireland, said the new Drogheda store represents a significant investment for the company.

“This is a really exciting investment for Boots Ireland. We’re opening a fantastic new store, creating more than 40 local jobs and bringing an exceptional Boots offer to the heart of Drogheda,” he said.

“What excites me most is just how much we can offer customers and patients under one roof, from trusted pharmacy care and healthcare advice to some of the most sought-after names in beauty and wellness.”

He said the company plans to continue growing its business in Ireland.

Beauty brands at new Drogheda store

The Scotch Hall store includes a broad selection of beauty and skincare brands.

These include Laneige, The Ordinary, AYU, Sol de Janeiro, Benefit, Kylie Cosmetics, Rituals, NEOM, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Estée Lauder and Clinique.

There is also a dedicated selection of K-beauty brands, alongside Boots ranges including No7 and Liz Earle.
