Ardee Concert Band enjoyed a successful outing at the Navan Choral and Instrumental Festival on Sunday, May 17, bringing home a number of awards across solo and ensemble competitions.
A total of 30 members from the band travelled to the festival, including 10 solo competitors and 20 musicians performing in ensemble categories.
The group secured first place finishes in the U16, U19 and Open solo sections, along with several second place finishes across both solo and ensemble competitions.
Among the individual winners, Tadhg Doolan claimed first place in the U16 category, while Hollie Reilly won the U19 section and Ruby McHugh took top honours in the Open category.
Emma Boyle secured second place in the U19 competition, while Callum Doolan finished second in the U12 category.
Ardee Concert Band also impressed in the group performances, taking second place in both the Junior Ensemble and Intermediate Ensemble categories.

Band members praised the performances of all musicians who took part, describing it as another proud weekend for the Bohemian Centre based group and a strong sign of the young talent continuing to develop within the band.
