All Roads Lead to Croke Park: Louth Ladies Ready for All-Ireland Junior Final Showdown

All roads lead to Croke Park on Sunday when the Louth Ladies play in the All Ireland Junior Final against Antrim.

The throw-in is at 11.45am and the game is being screened live on TG4.

Tickets for the matchare €30 euros each and still available. You also get to see the Intermediate Final, Laois V Tyrone at 1.45pm and the much anticipated Senior Final between our neighbours Meath and Dublin at 4.15pm as part of the package.

Antrim will be red hot favourites against Louth having won Division 4 of the National League and the Ulster Junior Championship. They have not been beaten in 16 matches.

Louth also reached the Junior Final last year when they were beaten by Fermanagh.

The Louth captain Aine Breen has already won two All Ireland medals in 2015 and 2019, and she is hoping the team can get over the line this weekend and she wins her third.

The one thing she doesn’t want is a replay because Aine is due to get married the following weekend!

She said: ” If you keep thinking about last year, you will drive yourself mad. We’re all really looking forward to Sunday. We haven’t played Antrim now in over a year and it will be a good battle.

I think each team is fairly even and you can’t argue with a 16 game unbeaten run either. I think it will ultimately come down to who has the desire and who wants it the most.”

The Louth Ladies Manager Kevin Larkin has done a great job since he took over the team over a year ago.

He said:” We’ve been training hard since November so it’s now just about getting to Croke Park and the players can show everyone how good they are. We will be hard to beat if our team plays to their full potential.”

Louth have now gone five matches unbeaten in their All Ireland series and Kevin is very hopeful they can get over the line this year.

The team is also drawing inspiration from the men who won the senior Leinster title for the first time since 1957 last June.
