The Lithuanian community living local will be delighted to hear that Vaidas Baumila is to be the main attraction at a mid-summer celebration to be held in the Fairways Hotel on June 25.
Vaidas is a Lithuanian singer and actor, he represented Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 along with Monika LinkytÄ— with the song “This Time”.
This midsummer event is a chance to introduce Lithuanian culture and heritage to the Irish public. This includes jumping over fires, making wreaths, and searching for fern flowers but, don’t worry this is not essential!
The organisers hope that simply by being part of this ancient Lithuanian celebration will fill you with long-lasting positive emotions and good energy. It is hoped though that you will stay up to see the sun rise.
Doors open at 7.00 pm, the concert starts at 9.00 pm and tickets are €30
