Becoming a good parent requires work if there is to be any level of understanding between the generations, especially when the little darlings reach the teenage years.
To help parents with this issue the Boomerang Youth Centre has organised a series of Parent Support Workshops which will be delivered in the coming weeks delivered by Qualified Social Care Leader, Accredited Play Therapist, Autplay Therapist and Clinical Supervisor, Melissa Moore.
Catrina Culligan and the team at Boomerang are hoping that the 10.00AM slot will suit parents/guardians who have dropped their children to school, have flexible work options and free in the mornings, to avail of the information sessions.
The sessions are being held on the following dates:
- Friday 24th January, 10.00 AM – Protecting Childen’s Mental Health and Wellbeing.
- Monday 27th January, 10.00AM – The Role of self-care in parenting
- Monday 3rd February, 10.00AM – Recognising and understanding anger
- Monday, 10th February, 10.00 AM – Supporting your anxious child
All of the above workshops will take place in the Boomerang Youth Centre at 62 Fair Street, Drogheda, A92 HX40. All parents are very welcome and there is no charge.
