St. Colmcilles U14 girls in memorable Division 2 final win against Royal Gaels

Congratulations to St. Colmcilles U14 girls sealed a memorable Division 2 final win with a brave performance against a strong Dunshaughlin, Royal Gaels side in front of a big crowd in Pilltown.

It was one of those games that had everything, intensity, heart, and more than a few edge-of-the-seat moments. Both teams gave it everything, and for long spells it felt like it could go either way.

In the end, it was sheer effort, teamwork and their composure under pressure that saw St Colmcilles over the line. They demonstrated great skills and produced some excellent scores from play which sealed the victory.

Drogheda United manager, Kevin Doherty, also attended the game which added to the occasion and the St. Colmcilles Under 7 and 8 girls were delighted to form a guard of honour. Captain Kate McKenna proudly accepted the cup on behalf of the team.

Final score 8-9 to 5-4.
