A golf classic has been organised to take place at Laytown/Bettystown Golf course on the 7th of June to raise funds to help with the building costs of the long awaited Moneymore Community Hub.
This is the first big fundraiser for the hub and the organisers are looking for golfers, sponsors and any other type of support you can offer. This is a 4 ball event and costs €50 per person. The time sheet is open and places are filling up fast.
This is a most worthy cause and we would encourage as many people as possible to get behind it.
When it is built the Community Hub will house Foroige’s Cable Youth Diversion Project, Connect Family Resource Centre and Moneymore Afterschool Club.
Between them these organisation offer a vast range of community services including counselling, parent groups, community trips, activities, food clouds, a sports hall, a café, training and meeting facilities.
Not everyone plays golf of course but donations, no matter how big or small, can be made at the centre’s idonate page (see link below).
