General public and Drogheda business community asked to support worthwhile cause
The Eden Room at the Marcy Hotel was the aptly named venue for the launch of “The Jungle Challenge”, a fundraiser which is to take place on October 4th in the TLT Theatre to raise funds for bilding of the proposed Moneymore Townland Community Hub.
“The Jungle Challenge” is a spin off from the popular TV Show “I’m a celebrity Get me out of here” and the show in the TLT promises to be a night to remember although it may well be one the contestants will prefer to forget.
The presence of a very large snake at the launch was the cause of much screaming as people were photographed with the slithery customer but the screams were drowned out by the laughter.
On the night itself two Teams (Snake Rock and Croc Creek) will go head-to-head to collect stars for their teams by overcoming their greatest fears… Not for the faint hearted.
Two dozen participants have registered as campmates for the night to be put to the test with a variety of challenges/trails live on stage.
Who will survive the hell holes, the bugs, the snakes and who will devour the gourmet critters and overcome a series of spine tingling, fun and tension-filled challenges to be crowned King or Queen of the jungle?
This is the biggest fundraising event to date for Moneymore Townland Community Hub (MTCH) which, once built, will be an inclusive, safe space designed to support the well-being and prosperity of the community for generations to come.

Mayor of Drogheda Paddy McQuillan has backed the Moneymore Community Hub appeal and is pictured at the launch with organisers Cliodhna Cunningham, Valerie Atherton and Lisa Cleary.
This flagship facility will bring together projects and services where the community can participate and be supported, to fulfil their needs, advance their ambitions in relation to family life, health, education, training, recreation, civic and social engagement.
The anchor tenants will be Connect FRC, Cable Youth Diversion Project and the Moneymore Afterschool Project. The HUB based in North Drogheda, will provide services which will have positive impacts for Drogheda and the surrounding areas.
This not to be missed event will take place live at the TLT Theatre on October 4th at 8.00pm. Tickets (€25 each) are on sale from this morning, Monday 12th of August. They are expected to sell very quickly so CLICK HERE NOW to secure yours.
