The Drogheda Homeless Aid team have won a global award for the brilliant work they do looking after those with nowhere to live.
The organisation based in the North Strand in the town also runs nine transition houses across Louth and Meath.
It won the Best Regional Homelessness Reduction Initiative 2025 for the Leinster Region at the Global Business Awards.
The Operations Manager of Dha Mandy Walsh received the great news today and shared it with all staff and supporters in the locality.
She only decided to enter the awards five weeks ago and they were up against some serious competition because there were so many topics from a daily service point of view that had to be covered in their entry.
The Judges carried out merit led research and evaluation which confirmed that all the conditions were being covered by Drogheda Homeless Aid and so they decided to give them the award.
An official online announcement will be made in October in the Corporate Vision Website which has 155,000 users plus five million page viewers annually.
Mandy Walsh said winning the award could not have been achieved without the continued devotion and dedication of all the staff.
The chairperson of Dha Paul Murphy congratulated the management and staff of the organisation.
He said the granting of the award was a recognition of all their hard work, backed up by the continued support of the people of Louth and Meath.
