Drogheda United head to Dalymount after back-to-back wins

Drogheda United travel to Dalymount Park on Friday night to face Bohemians in their final game before the international break.

The Drogheda United v Bohemians clash takes place on Friday, 18th September, with kick-off at 8pm after the fixture was selected for television coverage.

Kevin Doherty’s side head to Dublin with momentum after recording back-to-back league victories over Sligo Rovers and Shelbourne.

The Boynesiders beat Sligo 2-0 at Sullivan and Lambe Park on Friday, with Warren Davis and Edwin Agbaje getting the goals.

They followed that up with a 2-1 victory away to Shelbourne at Tolka Park on Monday.

Drogheda had fallen 1-0 behind before goals from Warren Davis and Leo Burney completed the comeback and secured another three points. The two results are confirmed in the League of Ireland’s current match records.

Bohemians have edge in this season’s meetings

Friday’s game will be the fourth meeting between Drogheda United and Bohemians this season.

The previous three encounters have produced two wins for Bohemians and one draw.

Drogheda will therefore be looking for their first victory over the Dublin side this season as they aim to carry their recent form into the international break.

Bohemians were sitting third in the Premier Division table after 30 games as of 11th September, while Drogheda were ninth.
