Drogheda United welcome league leaders Shamrock Rovers to Sullivan & Lambe Park on Friday as they look to build on last week’s 2-2 draw away to Sligo Rovers.
The Boynesiders will be without Owen Lambe, Kieran Cruise, Andrew Quinn, and Ethan O’Brien, who remain sidelined through injury.

Drogheda took the lead through Thomas Oluwa on 11 minutes, with the forward finishing from Conor Kane’s low cross. However, two quickfire goals from Cian Kavanagh saw Sligo in front at the break.
A dramatic period of injury time in the second half saw Alfie Bates have a goal disallowed before Shane Farrell fired in the equaliser from the edge of the box after good play by Keegan Ancelin on the left.
A late red card saw Sligo end the game with ten men, after Archie Meekison’s late lunge on Thomas Oluwa.
The first meeting between Drogheda & Shamrock Rovers this season ended in a scoreless draw at Sullivan & Lambe Park, before Stephen Bradley’s side won 4-1 in Tallaght Stadium in May, with goals from McGovern (2), Healy and Asamoah.
