M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet, in partnership with NOW Group, recently hosted a Lunch and Learn event focusing on neurodiversity, accessibility and practical Equality, Diversity and Inclusion supports for local businesses.

The event brought together businesses from across the region to explore practical ways of creating more inclusive workplaces and better supporting employees.

Attendees heard about the work of NOW Group in supporting people with learning difficulties and autism through employment, training and further education opportunities.

The session also highlighted the JAM Card initiative, which allows people to discreetly ask for “Just A Minute” of patience and understanding in everyday situations.

Tracey Smith from the Department of Social Welfare also delivered a presentation outlining the range of supports available to both businesses and employees.

M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet thanked the speakers, The Marcy Hotel Drogheda and all those who attended for contributing to what was described as a positive and valuable discussion on inclusive employment and workplace accessibility.
