Pictured at the presentation were Christopher Lynch of Mellon Educate Africa, Duleek Players Chairman David Andrews, Director Guy Lynch, Mark Hanlon, and Rían Byrne Hanlon.
Duleek Drama Players have presented more than €3,000 to local charities following the success of their recent production of All The Way Back by Bernard Farrell at the Droichead Arts Centre.
Among the organisations to benefit was Rían’s Army, the fundraising campaign supporting seven year old Laytown boy Rían Byrne Hanlon, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The campaign received €1,285 towards efforts to fund what has been described as life changing medical treatment in the United States.
Mellon Educate Africa also received €1,580 from the fundraising efforts, while Drogheda Cares for the Homeless was presented with €250.
The presentation took place following the successful run of the production, with members of Duleek Drama Players joined by representatives from the charities.
