Drogheda United are back in action on Bank Holiday Monday with a trip to Tallaght to face Shamrock Rovers.
The Boynesiders go into the game in good form after back to back wins. They followed up a 4-3 victory over Shelbourne with a 1-0 win against Sligo Rovers on Friday.
Drogheda made a strong start in that game, with Thomas Oluwa going close inside the opening two minutes. The breakthrough came on 14 minutes when Brandon Kavanagh delivered a corner from the left. Keeley got the initial touch and Mark Doyle finished from close range at the second attempt.
Sligo’s best chance to equalise came early in the second half when a cross from the left found Meekison, but his header was well saved by Fynn Talley.
There were few chances after that, although Sligo goalkeeper Sargeant denied Oluwa in injury time as Drogheda held on for all three points.
The sides have already met once this season, with that game finishing scoreless at Sullivan and Lambe Park.
Drogheda will be without Scott Brady, Owen Lambe, Ethan O’Brien, Leo Burney and Bridel Bosakani through injury. Shane Farrell is suspended, while Jason Bucknor returned to action in the win over Sligo.
