Droichead Arts Centre are delighted to partner with Dublin International Film Festival 2026 as part of their curated silent film programme screening two classic silent films made in the 1920’s from France and the USA.

Lewis Milestone’s 1928 classic The Garden of Eden stars Corinne Griffith as Toni Lebrun, an aspiring opera singer who heads to Vienna to pursue her dreams, but the shady Madame Bauer (Maude George) and her dodgy establishment Palais de Paris are far from what poor Toni envisioned! Luckily, wardrobe mistress Rosa (Louise Dresser) comes to her rescue, and the two journey to Monte Carlo together where love and high jinx await them both. This classic comedy has recently been restored in 4K and will be presented with a live score in screen presented by acclaimed composer/pianist Michael Holohan.
