Gardaí Investigate Suspected Arson After Eight Cars Destroyed in Duleek Fire

Gardaí are investigating a suspected arson attack after eight cars were destroyed in a fire in Duleek late last night.

As reported by LMFM, the blaze broke out shortly before 11pm in the car park of a licensed premises on Main Street. Fire crews from Drogheda and Navan were called to the scene.

Staff, customers and people staying in accommodation at the premises were safely evacuated and no injuries have been reported. The cars were parked along a rear wall of the building.

The scene has been preserved overnight and a technical examination is due to take place today as investigations continue.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.

Any persons who were in the vicinity of Main Street between 10:00pm and 11:15pm on 2nd January and who may have video footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
