Best Menswear has been a go to for Irish men since 1948, and here in Drogheda their Scotch Hall store has become a favourite for anyone who wants to look sharp and feel confident. “We want every customer to look and feel their best,” the team said. “That has always been our goal.”
They opened in Scotch Hall in 2006 and instantly felt at home. “Drogheda is vibrant and full of personality. We saw a real need for a high quality menswear store, and Scotch Hall gave us the perfect spot to welcome customers.”
The store offers everything from contemporary casualwear to polished suiting, footwear and accessories, including top brands like BOSS, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, along with their own Marco Capelli label. “We are always refreshing the collection. Our aim is to cover every part of the modern man’s wardrobe.”
But what keeps people coming back is the experience. “We treat every person like a valued friend. We are not just selling clothes. We are helping men build confidence through their wardrobe.”
Their Made to Measure service is a big point of pride. “Customers can design a completely bespoke garment and choose every detail. It is a fantastic experience to be part of. We are also proud to be the only provider of Women’s Made to Measure in Ireland.”
Store manager Carol Dunleavy is a familiar face to shoppers. “I have spent over two decades helping customers with tailoring and styling. I love helping people feel their best. You are definitely in safe hands with me and my team.”
For Carol, the best part of the job is simple. “When you see the smile on someone’s face because they have found the perfect outfit, that is what makes this job special.” She still remembers helping a couple during lockdown who had postponed their wedding three times. The bride finally said she was not waiting any longer. “I opened the store for them and it was a lovely experience to be part of. A while later I saw their photos in the local paper, taken at the Drogheda United grounds, and it brought the biggest smile to my face. They still shop with us today.”
The support from Drogheda has meant everything. “The loyalty of this community is incredible. During tough times people went out of their way to support us. It showed how much they value having a premium store like ours right here.”
Looking ahead, the focus is clear. “We want to provide the best customer service experience in the region. We will keep investing in our team, refining our styling consultations and introducing new brands.”
