Another man has been arrested by Gardaí in Drogheda investigating the murder of a juvenile in January 2020.
The man arrested today is in his mid-20s and is currently detained at Mountjoy Garda station under a Section 42 warrant of Criminal Justice Act, 1999.
The man and woman arrested on Wednesday 17th February, 2021 remain in Garda custody detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at Drogheda and Balbriggan Garda stations.
Today’s arrest brings the number of arrests for this investigation to eight.
Due to a recent decision of the Court of Appeal we are not allowed to identify the victim the brutal murder being investigated.
