Droichead Arts Centre and Connect Family Resource Centre will be hosting the premiere of “Around the Corner”, an inspiring new film they created with funding from Louth Leader Partnership on Thursday next, 1 July at 4pm.
Around the Corner, is a new uplifting film project created in the heart of Moneymore, Drogheda, and its surroundings, as a neighbourhood reflects on the recent pandemic produced by Connect Family Resource Centre.
Capturing the essence of heart within community and locality the film was shot using Zoom, from the homes of participants while online with their neighbours. Some were pre acquainted, some were not.
This film is a taster of pandemic life through the eyes of Moneymore residents, enjoying street bingo, socially distant picnics, remembrance and reflections as they put questions to each other from behind a screen. Some difficult, some not so much.
Join Connect Family Resource Centre on Thursday, 1 July at 4pm as they screen the film for the first time, together live on Zoom. There will be laughter, there may even be tears, as we enjoy this community time capsule with each other, of a moment in history, of Moneymore life.
This event is free but booking is essential here. You will receive the Zoom link with your email confirmation.
