Local author, poet, artist and all-round good guy, Roger Hudson celebrated his 85th birthday recently at a gathering of friends and fellow members of the Drogheda Creative Writers group.
This was the the first indoor meeting of Drogheda Creative Writers since Covid, so Roger, never one to miss an opportunity, gave the members a sneak preview of his new book of 52 poems “Hidden In Green” edited by Dave Newton.
In the Living Room bar at Sarsfields pub in Chord Road 14 members heard poems ranging from his childhood tree climbing adventures to reflections on life, serious and humourous.
“… we all really enjoyed seeing one another face to face in person rather than on Zoom” said Roger who is planning a full scale book launch for the book after in the near future at a date and venue yet to be fixed.
