The organisers of Drogheda Pride have had some disappointments with their plans for this year’s celebrations. Last week the County Manager got tongue-tied over a proposal for a rainbow crossing and the Councilors staged a walk out in protest.
Thankfully though, not everyone is as blinkered in their views. Today Bus Éireann has announced that it is to come on board as sponsor of the 2022 Drogheda Pride which takes place from August 5 to August 7.
On behalf of Bus Éireann employees in Louth, we want to wish all of our customers and all of those celebrating a very happy Drogheda Pride 2022″ said Bus Éireann spokesperson Adam Hurley.
Drogheda Pride manager Peter Nugent said: “We are delighted that Bus Eireann are coming on board this year.
“It’s good to see a big company leading the way for diversity and inclusion. They donated €250 towards the cost of putting on Drogheda Pride.”
“This is a wonderful sign and we look forward to working with Bus Eireann Drogheda in years to come.”
