Mosney Village wins five awards at Meath Pride of Place 2022

Mosney Village has won no fewer than five awards at the Meath Pride of Place Ceremony on Thursday 29 September 2022. With a high standard of competition across the Laytown and Bettystown district, representatives of Mosney Village were delighted to collect awards for the following categories:

  1. First Place for ‘Best Large Housing Estate’, for the second year running
  2. Best Residential Streetscape
  3. Community Wellbeing
  4. Community Age Friendly Initiative
  5. Best Vacant Premises for a premises that was transformed into a state-of-the-art IT Centre. 

Speaking at the awards CEO Adrian Gates said: “These awards are testament to the hard work and commitment of staff and management at Mosney Village. Their day-to-day dedication ensures that Mosney Village continues to be a beautiful place for our residents to live.” 

Having entered a substantial submission to Meath County Council in May 2022, Mosney Village documented the attention to detail that is given to the maintenance and care of the grounds. The submission included carefully chosen shrubbery, wildlife sculptures, owl boxes, bird boxes, seasonal and annual planting, large range of indoor and outdoor facilities, resident wellbeing and fitness, volunteer led initiatives, sustainability and the promotion of Biodiversity and Pollination throughout the village.

Mosney Village is set in 80 acres of open green space along the coastline of East County Meath. Home to 900 multi-national residents, Mosney Village is a unique setting that provides all residents with their own private home. This enables residents to live independently in a safe and secure environment. 

The village is comprised of over 300 houses, bungalows and apartments in a tranquil setting adjoining Mosney Beach. Residents can avail of the vast array of facilities and services available within Mosney Village to assist, advise and support them during their stay.  

Facilities such as the Mosney Food Hall, Medical Centre and LMETB Education Quarter are comfortably accessible to all residents on foot or by bicycle. The village also features many recreational and sporting facilities such as Mosney Gym, all-weather outdoor Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), football pitches, basketball court, and a 200 seater auditorium. 

The unique layout of the village lends itself to social interaction amongst neighbours and friends. At Mosney Village, residents of all nationalities are part of a community that is locally driven and locally responsive to promote inclusion and integration.
