Drogheda Life has had to miss both of this year’s Drogheda gigs by local super group, Temple Annie – their triumphant return to the Bagfull in Sarches and their sell-out gig in McHugh’s.
So we’re determined not to miss their next gig on Saturday 12th November when they’ll be supporting the legendary Jerry Fish at the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol.
Temple Annie comprises of the best of musicians and songwriters from Drogheda who previously played in other groups but realised that combining their musical talents made for a lethal combination.
Band members Ciara Callaghan, Geoff Fay, Amanda Maples, Ants Kierans, Gavan Kierans and Jack White are extremely well known on the Drogheda music scene and their reputation is attracting serious interest from festival promoters around the country with 2023 gearing up to be a very busy and interesting year.
Ciara is already a veteran of the Oriel Centre stage having performed there previously with Brefni Holohan and also as support to Inspiral Carpets frontman Tom Hingley and audience members will look forward to her return.
Channelling diverse influences from as varied a sphere as Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac to Bowie, Beatles and Bacharach, Temple Annie bring a lot to the stage with the promise of much more to come.
Their performance in the Oriel Centre will be a rare stripped back, acoustic session. Tickets are very limited for this show due to the intimate nature of the venue so early booking is advised. Tickets are available from www.orielcentre.ie.
If you are a Jerry Fish fan then you might also love this weekends gig in the Oriel Centre where Cork legends, The Frank and Walters make a welcome return.
