Ace AC were named “Louth Cross Country team of the year” at the 2023 annual Louth Athletics Awards, held in Dundalk on Saturday night.
To cap off an epic event Chloe Cooney, Neil Culhanne, Sholah Lawrence and Shea O’Donnell were all named “Louth athletes of the year” in their various age groups.
It was an amazing achievement for these four young athletes, as well as the club, who were named Louth’s most successful Athletics Club, for the very first time.
Ace AC recently purchased an impressive new training facility in Galroostown Co Louth and are building a state-of-the-art outdoor training facility.
Club Chairman and long serving head coach Liam Cooney (a former international runner himself) accepted the award from the Louth Athletics County Board and was joined on stage by many of his young athletes. What an exciting future this club has.
