LOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL – TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD
Section 75 Roads Act, 1993
(Roads Regulations 1994)
Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close;
R168 at Nursery Cross to vehicular and pedestrian traffic to facilitate the upgrade of existing road surface to Hot Rolled Asphalt as part of the Louth Low Cost Safety Scheme 2023.
The extent of the road closure on the R168 will be from the junction with Old Mellifont Road on the Southern side of Nurserys Cross to Drumgooles Cross on the Northern side.
The road closure will be in place for a duration not more than 3 consecutive days total (weekdays) in the period from 7.00am on Monday 30th October to 6:30pm on Friday 17th November 2023.
Local access will be maintained at all times.
Diversions for traffic will be via Old Mellifont Road
Any person who wishes to object to any of the closures should lodge an objection in writing (envelope clearly marked “Road Closure objection”) to the undersigned not later than 4.00pm on Friday 27th October 2023.
