Drogheda Wolves Senior Men’s National League Basketball team are in a top of the table clash in Ballymakenny this Saturday December 16th against Limerick Celtics and they are encouraging everyone to attend as a very exciting game of basketball is guaranteed.

There will be lots of Christmas family fun at the game including a prize for best festive dressed, pass the parcel in addition to a half time raffle with lots of great prizes.
“There may even be special guests to entertain all of our spectators” said a club spokesperson. “Our lucky dip lotto winner will be announced so don’t forget to get your lotto ticket!”
Drogheda Wolves is a diverse club and, with members from over 10 nationalities, they pride themselves on being a club where everyone is welcomed.
They work with community crossover groups to remove barriers to participation in sport and physical activity so that no matter what someone’s circumstances are, they have a supportive club, where they can thrive.
They partner with Drogheda Special Olympics and also have an inclusion team for players with intellectual and physical disabilities, thereby making basketball accessible to all in Drogheda/East Meath and beyond, which has proved a huge success.
“To belong, to play, to thrive’ is the club motto of and the aim is to grow and develop basketball in our expanding town. With over 500 members in the club, we believe it is one of the largest clubs in County Louth” said the spokesperson.
“We cater for age groups from U8 academy through to Senior men’s and Women’s teams and even masters/social basketball.
“Our club is very grateful for the support it receives from all its members, local businesses, public representatives and the community. It allows us to support all the playing teams – adult and juvenile.
“We have a longer-term ambition to eventually have our own home-court in Drogheda ‘The Wolf Den’. Your ongoing support will help us to become the Basketball Club we dream of. If you have any fundraising initiatives or would like to help fundraising, please get in touch with us.
