€216,000 worth of herbal cannabis seized in Dublin was bound for Louth

Two parcels originating from Portugal and destined for an address in County Louth were seized by Revenue officers and found to contain 10.8 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €216,000.

Yesterday (14/03/2024), as a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog James, Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Dublin seized 10.8 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €216,000.

This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs. If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding drug smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295.
