Now in its twelfth year, the Duleek Cystic Fibrosis 10K Remembrance Run/Walk, which takes place on Sunday April 28, is so much more than a run. “It’s a celebration of Life, it’s all about coming together and realising how blessed we were to have had beautiful people in our families”.
These words from event manager Ann Noone sum up the sentiment behind the Duleek 10K Remembrance Run/Walk very eloquently as it honours the lives of cousins Cathy O’Brien and Kelley Noone, it also pays tribute to all individuals and families affected by CF.
By participating in this event, participants not only remember their lives but also contribute to increasing public awareness about CF and supporting Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and our local Drogheda Branch.
Over €250,000 has been raised to date by the very generous supporters of the annual Duleek Cystic Fibrosis 10K Run/Walk
“We have great sponsored prizes for our raffle; A television, a €500 one4all gift card from Stephen Carroll of SCME Ltd, a YGH €100 voucher also up for grabs. All you have to do is register for our CF10K Remembrance Run” Ann says.
One of the unique aspects of this event is that, as well as the actual run/walk, on Sunday April 28, there is also a virtual format which gives people who for whatever reason cannot attend, the chance to participate any time from April 1st to 28th regardless of their location.
This inclusive approach allows individuals of all ages and fitness levels to participate, whether they are seasoned runners or just starting their fitness journey.
