Youth leadership workshop sparks Southside Pride

A Youth Leadership workshop facilitated by youth and family coach, Allen O’Donoghue last Friday in St. Nicholas GFC clubhouse, was a great inspirational for the members of the Southside Pride of Place project.

With over seventy young people between the ages of 10 and 14 years old in attendance, the packed venue reflected on positive leadership with their own community and highlighted the pivotal role of the youth in shaping the future.

The event, designed to foster community pride and engagement, aligned with the goals of the Southside Pride of Place initiative of helping young people take up leadership roles in their own locality.

The gathering included interactive sessions and workshops, facilitating connections among attendees from Ballsgrove Youth Club and members of St. Nicholas GFC.

The Southside Pride of Place project is a community-based project between St. Nicholas GFC and Ballsgrove Youth Club. The project is supported by the Drogheda Implementation Board’s Small Grants Scheme.

In another event, Allen O’Donoghue will give presentation on “Managing Stress and Anxiety” in St. Nicholas GFC Clubhouse. The event takes places on Tuesday February 6th at 7pm. This is a public community event hosted by the Southside Project and all are welcome to attend. (see poster below):
