Gardai have confirmed that a woman has been charged in relation to an alleged hit and run which left a teenager needing hospital treatment.
The injured 18 year old woman received what were described as minor injuries after being struck by a car on Scarlett Street at about 5.30pm yesterday (Monday).
It is alleged that the car failed to remain at the scene.
Gardaí in Drogheda confirmed that a woman was arrested a short time later and taken to Drogheda Garda Station.
It has confirmed to Drogheda Life today that the woman arrested, who is aged in her 20s, has been charged to appear before Drogheda District Court next month.
