Someone in County Louth has plenty to celebrate this weekend after a player scooped €500,000 in Thursday’s 9pm Daily Million Plus draw with a ticket bought in Dunleer.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winner has made contact with the claims department and arrangements are being made for them to collect their prize.
The winner, who wishes to keep their win private, purchased their ticket in Centra on Main Street Dunleer, Co.Louth.
Meanwhile, excitement is well and truly building ahead of tonight’s (Friday 3rd March) EuroMillions draw, which will see a GUARANTEED jackpot of €130 million up for grabs among the nine participating countries in the EuroMillions game. 
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said, ”Tonight could prove to be truly unforgettable for a EuroMillions player in Ireland. We are advising all our players who wish to be in with a chance of becoming our 18th EuroMillions jackpot winner, to purchase their tickets early either in-store, through the National Lottery app or at http://www.lottery.ie/ ahead of the 7.30pm deadline for sales on Friday evening.”
