Water outages in North Drogheda on Tuesday and Wednesday – Uisce Éireann

Outages required to facilitate essential works to water network

Uisce Éireann is planning more water outages in Drogheda, on Tuesday 22 October and Wednesday 23 October, from 8pm to 5am each night to facilitate essential works to the water network in North Drogheda.

“Homes and businesses in Drogheda town, along Cord Road and North Road, areas of Yellowbatter including Pearse Park, Crushrod Avenue, Ascal and surrounding areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure or supply interruptions” they have said.

Uisce Éireann’s James O’Hagan assures local homes and businesses that every effort will be made to reduce the impact of the works and restore the water supply following works as quickly as possible.

“We understand the impact that outages can have on customers and would like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and co-operation during these essential works.”

Following works, it can take two to three hours for normal water supply to return to all customers as the network replenishes. As the water supply returns, there may be some increased short-term instances of discoloured water.
