To minimise disruption, works will take place at night from tonight until Wednesday,18 October
Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Louth County Council, is carrying out essential works on the network in North Drogheda. To minimise disruption to homes and businesses, the works will take place each night from 10pm to 5am the following morning, beginning tonight, Monday, 9 October and will be completed by Wednesday,18 October.
During these hours, customers in North Drogheda, including Drogheda town centre, Mell, Moneymore, Yellowbatter, Greenhills, Newtownstalaban, Greenbatter and surrounding areas may experience temporary low water pressure especially those on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Crews will make every effort to minimise the disruption to impacted customers and to complete these works as quickly and as safely as possible. It typically takes two to three hours following restoration time for the network to refill and normal water supply to fully return.
Speaking about the works, Mark Murray, Uisce Éireann said, “We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and working in partnership with Louth County Council, we will make every effort to minimise any disruption that these necessary works may cause.”
