TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD

Section 75 Roads Act, 1993

(Roads Regulations 1994)

Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its decision to close; 

The R166, Scarlett Street in Drogheda between King Street and Francis Street to vehicular traffic to facilitate Irish Water repairing a partially collapsed sewer line.                                                                                              

The extent of the road closure will be from the junction of King Street to the junction with Thomas Street. 

The road closure will be for a duration of not more than one week in the period from 19:00pm Monday 26th September to 17:00pm on Friday 30th September 2022. Works will be carried out during the hours of 19:00 & 03:00 each night to reduce the impact on traffic. 

Local access will be maintained at all times. 

Diversions for traffic will be via Thomas Street for westbound traffic and via Magdalene Street for eastbound traffic.
