TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROAD
Section 75 Roads Act, 1993
(Roads Regulations 1994)
Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its DECISION TO CLOSE the following roads to vehicular traffic to facilitate tree clearance works outside the Magnet Building on Park Villas, The Demesne, Dundalk.
LT 20022-70 Park Villas, The Demesne, Dundalk.
- Alternative approach from The Demesne / Mullholland Drive
Due to lane closures on the LT20022-70 (Park Villas) for works outside the Magnet Building, a diversion will be in place to manage traffic from The Demesne / Mulholland Drive area.
Diversion Details:
- Start of Diversion: At the junction of Mulholland Avenue and Park Villas, traffic will be diverted away from the LT20022-70.
- Route Direction:
- Vehicles will be directed back onto the R215 (Magnet Road) using diversion signage.
- From the R215, traffic will be directed northbound onto Clanbrassil Street.
- Continue straight on until being diverted left onto the N53 (Castletown Road).
- At the designated point, turn left onto the L-20015-60 (Legion Avenue).
- Proceed along Legion Avenue and continue onto the L-20011-20 (McSweeney Street / Demesne Road).
- Follow this road back around to rejoin Park Villas (LT20022-70) from the opposite direction.
- Alternative approach from Park Villas Towards the Demesne – This lane will remain open to traffic as normal
The road closures will be from 08:00 on Monday 9th June 2025 for a period of at least one week.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
