The St. Mary’s DS first-year futsal final took place at lunchtime yesterday, Wednesday 1st May between Chin Begin FC & Fredo Utd.
Altogether some 112 first year students took part in this weekly knock out tournament run by Mr. Hobbs, that started back in November.
The final was a cracking match between two excellent teams with the contest evenly matched for most of the game. But once Fredo United took the lead they turned on the style in the latter stages to win 6-1 and lift the cup!!!
Mr. Hobbs and the first year students raised €720.70 for this year’s charity: Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre which was nominated by first year Adam Walsh.
