The Meath Joint Policing Committee Subcommittee on Road Safety and Improved Driver Behaviour has launched a Road Safety Signage initiative for GAA Club Grounds across Meath.
Funded by Meath County Council’s Joint Policing Committee, the initiative, will be rolled out across the County with a number of GAA clubs supporting the placement of the safety signage on club grounds.
Cllr. David Gilroy, Chairperson of the Subcommittee said, “GAA grounds around the County, and in particular Pairc Tailteann in Navan, attract a large footfall of dedicated GAA fans travelling to and from training and games, the grounds provide the ideal location to place the new signage reminding a large amount of road users of the key road safety messages”.
Other members of the subcommittee include Meath County Council’s Road Safety Officer Michael Finnegan, Inspector Peter Gilsenan, An Garda Síochána and a number of Meath County Council Councillors and Community Representatives.
