Parking fees to be reduced to 0.65c per hour
To encourage people to ‘Shop Local’ over the festive period, Pay Parking charges in Drogheda and Dundalk are to be reduced to 0.65c per hour from 1st December 2023 to 6th January 2024.
The initiative involves a 50% reduction in the rate of pay parking, from the standard €1.30 per hour.
This reduction will apply to both on-street parking and the car parks managed by Louth County Council and will be clearly displayed on the pay parking machines.
In Drogheda, charges at the Long-Term car parks, Donore Road car park, Trinity Street car park, Windmill Road, North Strand and Dublin Road will remain unchanged.
In Dundalk, charges at the Long Term car parks at LinenHall Street, the Long Walk and Ramparts Road will remain unchanged.
