Outcomers Drogheda have announced the fourth in their series of Free LGBTQ+ Well-Being Workshops – LGBT Parenting and Family Law in association with LGBT Ireland which will take place this Thursday 22nd July at 7.30pm.
They are inviting interested persons to join them, along with Paula Fagan (CEO of LGBT Ireland); Maeve Delargy (Lesbian Lawyers Group and OutLaw Network) and other LGBT parents, as they share experiences about what it’s like to be an LGBTQ+ parent in Ireland.
They will be discussing the legal protections that are available to LGBT parents, while also highlighting gaps that still exist in Irish law that leave LGBT families vulnerable.
Find out more about the current legal status of the Children and Family Relationships Act; Assisted Human Reproduction; Surrogacy; Fostering and Adoption for LGBT people in Ireland, while also learning more about the lived experience of LGBT parents.
So whether you’re already an LGBT parent; planning on becoming a parent or if you just want to find out more about what it’s like to live in and LGBT family in Ireland, then this is the workshop for you!
And what’s better … all these workshops are FREE, due to the kind support of the Bank of Ireland: Begin Together Fund and The Community Foundation for Ireland.
The workshop will be approximately 90mins in duration, which will include plenty of time for sharing of experiences and Q&A.
