Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close a section of the M1 from Junction 11 to Junction 10 and Junction15 Interchange slip roads at night- time for a period not exceeding 12 nights over a seven week period to facilitate Celtic Roads Group (Dundalk) DAC to carry out PAVEMENT works.
The Closures & Diversion route will be as follows:
- Southbound within the section of the M1 between Junction 11 to Junction 10 (To facilitate PAVEMENT Works for a period not exceeding 4 nights) – within the period 06 th October 2025 to 21 st November
2025.
- Diversion using the following national, regional and local roads; R132 (old N1) and N51. Diversions will be in place, at night time only, between the hours of 19.30-05.30.
- Junction 15 – Interchange Slip roads (To facilitate PAVEMENT Works for a period not exceeding 8 nights) – within the period 06 th October 2025 to 21 st November 2025.
- Diversion using the following national, regional and local roads; Junction 14, Junction 16, M1. Diversions will be in place, at night time only, between the hours of 19.00-06.30.
The total duration of the roadworks is expected to be seven weeks, during which time the motorway mainline, interchange slip roads, roundabouts and side roads may be closed.
It is the intention of Celtic Roads Group (Dundalk) DAC to minimise the number of and duration of road closures within the above period.
Contingency has been included in the seven week period to allow for disruption to works due to weather conditions etc. and every effort will be made to complete works in less than seven weeks.
The closures will affect both carriageways at different periods.
For up to date information, notifications will be published on TII Traffic website and on LMFM Radio.
Any person who wishes to object to any of the closures should lodge an objection in writing (envelope clearly marked “Road Closure objection”) to the undersigned not later than 12.00 noon on 30th September 2025.
