During the visit, MEP Maria Walsh and Deputy Butterly met with community groups and business representatives to explore opportunities and gain a first-hand insight into the key issues and ambitions shaping County Louth.

“Bringing our MEPs to Louth highlights the importance of connecting European policy with the people it affects most directly,” Deputy Butterly said. “How we can work together to enhance infrastructure, attract investment, and ensure sustainable development for our communities.”

“Strengthening ties between our region and Europe, paving the way for future funding, partnerships, and representation.”

"It is a team effort from the bottom to the top, we are a team who are determined to drive results for the County.

“Our itinerary included a round table discussion with members from Drogheda Chamber of Commerce. A visit to Moneymore Connect Family Resource Centre which also included the Women's refuge and Outcomers, concluding with a visit to the SOSAD offices in Drogheda.”
