Louth Council Secures 18 A-Rated Homes for Drogheda Housing Needs

There was good news for people on the Drogheda Housing List after Louth County Council bought 18 new homes  recently built in the town.
 
The local authority purchased the recently completed social housing units along the Ballymakenny Road area.
 
The multi million euro acquisition includes a mix of high quality two bedroom apartments, two-bedroom duplex units, and three and four bedroom houses in Ballymakenny Mews, Ellwood Park and Listoke Pines.
 
A number of the properties are also ground floor apartments with level access shower units to enhance accessibly.
 
They are A rated for energy efficiency and the sales are funded by the Dept of Housing, Local Government and Housing.
 
Louth County Council in a statement said:” Thos acquisition reflects Louth County Council’s ongoing commitment to providing sustainable and inclusive housing solutions for the people of County Louth.
 
“It also aligns with the Council’s strong performance which was highlighted in the recent Dept of Housing, Local Government and Heritage Social Housing Delivery Performance Report, which showcases the progress made in meeting housing targets and supporting community development.”
