A truly spectacular musical treat, a tribute to the songs of three of the greatest music icons of our time; Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Van Morrison, is coming to The Droichead Arts centre on Friday, October 11th.
This show is taking venues nationwide by storm with the music that formed the soundtrack to generations
since the sixties and is still relevant today, being performed by the fantastic Muddy River Band.
"What could be better than performing to an enthusiastic audience and singing the songs of your musical hero?" asks Muddy River Band member Willie Headon who along with fellow musicians and singers Pete Kavanagh and Pat Silke perform the songs of their respective music icons Neil Young, Bob Dylan
and Van Morrison.
The three lads have all been music professionals for many years working as songwriters, performers and record producers both individually and alongside many well known Irish and International artists.
What started out as a one off gig just for fun has exploded into a highly successful music tribute show with standing ovations after every performance.
"It was supposed to be just a bit of enjoyment, but the response "as so good and the requests for us to do it all again just meant we had to keep the show going" says Pete Kavanagh.
Headon, Kavanagh and Silke perform a full two hour show of Young and Dylan and Morrison classics backed by the rest of the exceptional Muddy River Band musicians including Jon Warren on drums, Baz Daly on bass, Joe Ryan on pedal steel and Lee Murphy on guitar.
The set includes a mix of more laid back acoustic numbers along with a selection of high energy electric classics. If you're a fan of Young, Dylan or Morrison or indeed all three, then you simply have to see this show!
