It has been confirmed that a new sub Post Office will open shortly on Magdalene Street beside the Market Bar.
“Since the post office at the Boyne Centre closed a number of months ago, Deputy Nash has been working to put local property owners in touch with interested parties who could operate the sub post office.
“When it was clear the local sub post office at the Boyne Centre was to close, An Post immediately confirmed to me that they wanted to see a post office continue to operate in the area” Deputy Nash said.
“I am delighted that the new facility is expected to be opened shortly on Magdalene Street in the former bookmakers premises next to the Market Bar.
“This is great news for the area and will see an important community service restored on the north side of Drogheda.
“I was pleased to be able to have played a role in this”
