Labour TD Ged Nash has informed the HSE of seven potential sites for a community vaccination centre in Drogheda to serve the town and the South Louth & East Meath areas.
He said;
“When the government decided in February not to include Drogheda as a location for one of the 37 community vaccination centres, I didn’t take no for an answer.
“I continued to pursue the issue and the HSE then agreed to consider the town as a location. I have liaised closely with the HSE in recent weeks and have forwarded information to them on up to seven sites that wish to be considered.
“The HSE will be visiting those sites over the next few days to assess their suitability and I will continue to work with them on this important initiative for the people of our town and the environs.”
