Miss Ireland visits Tredagh Lodge Day Care Centre

Tredagh Lodge Day Care Centre welcomed a special guest on Saturday, March 21, as Miss Ireland Caoimhe Kenny paid a visit during the centre’s Social Saturday.

During her visit, Caoimhe spent time with those attending the centre, joining in with music, dancing and conversation, and sharing what was described as a number of special moments throughout the day.

It is estimated that around 64,000 people in Ireland are currently living with dementia, and Tredagh Lodge provides a safe and welcoming space for those impacted by Alzheimer’s and related conditions.

Speaking about the visit, Caoimhe highlighted the importance of connection and community, noting how meaningful it is to spend time together, listen and bring a bit of light to someone’s day.

Everyone at Tredagh Lodge expressed their appreciation to Caoimhe for taking the time out of her schedule to visit the centre.

A word of thanks was also extended to Tom Maguire and Oriel Sounds for providing the music on the day, as well as to the volunteers who continue to support the work of the day care centre.
