Ace Athletic Club’s, Sholah Lawrence secured third place in the under 16 1500m at the juvenile athletics Irish finals in Tullamore on Sunday.
This was Sholah’s second National medal of the summer following her 800m medal at the same venue two weeks ago.
Meanwhile in the under 16 boys 1500m Lorcan Forde Dunne secured an amazing second-place.
With the boy’s final split into two heats and based on times, Lorcan had the advantage of running in heat two which meant he knew the time to beat to secure a medal.
Coming towards the clock Lorcan bravely threw himself across the line to secure a silver National medal.
On the day Eimear Cooney, Shea O’Donnell and Chloe Cooney ran in the u15 and u17 1500m with Shruthi Prasad competing in the u15 200m. All four athletes secured top 10 national finishes!
