Ace AC travelled to mid Louth on Sunday to compete in the Ardee AC sports day.
The ever-improving Lucy Reynolds, Dylan Garcia, Clara Plunkett, Muireann Chamass and Victoria Gibney started the day off with good performances in the sprints.
Then came the first 2 Ace AC medals through Charlie Gilbey who won a brilliant silver in his sprint and U13 Chloe Brennan who impressively secured gold in her sprint final.
u12 Tayo Lawrence won bronze in the 600m as well as silver in his long jump.
U13 Samuel Plunkett won his first individual medal for Ace AC, in the shot put. Having only tried the event for the first time a few weeks ago, he seems to have a real talent for it, throwing 6.43m to win bronze.
Kate O Donnell ran the race of her season, winning a silver medal in the u14 800m. She was aggressive throughout her race and thoroughly deserved silver. Naiya Semple wasn’t far behind in third. All-rounder Naiya had earlier won gold in the long jump with a massive PB of 4.46.
Anna Faulkner was back to winning ways winning Gold in the Junior 400m, while ever present Allie Garcia secured silver.
Ciara O Connor won Gold in the U16 sprint with Chloe Hanley in 3rd. O’Connor also won the U17 400m with Chloe Hanley second and Isabella Garcia in third.
Daniel Hanley continued his good form with a silver in the boys u15 800m and Chloe Cooney made light work of her u15 girls 800m winning in style.
u16 Sholah Lawrence also won her 800m. Sholah had earlier won gold in the u16 Long Jump with a PB of 4.88m.
U19s Adam Rusell and Karol O Connor made it a 1- 2 for Ace in both the 100m and 400m races.
In the relays the u14 girls team of Kate O Donnell, Lauren Faulkner, Niamh Faukner and Aoife O Connor won bronze while the girls U16 girls team of Chloe Hanley, Sholah Lawrence, Chloe Cooney and Ciara O Connor won their relay in style.
